Of Dreams and Death: A Journey of Life

See you at the bottom of the bridge,

A little deeper in, closer to the edge,

A solemn retreat where the angels go to weep,

After seeing the miracles of life collapse,

As violence and propaganda conquer humanity’s destiny.

See you at the bottom of the bottle,

When you lose yourself to emptiness and neglect,

Go ahead and cry your heart out, puke out your guts,

Do what you need to deal with the pain of loneliness,

Sanity demands that you keep your dreams alive.

See you at the castle you built in the sky,

The place that you go when you’re alone,

Away from the heresies of society’s demise,

Ensuring it will never be affected by the crises of reality,

And furnish it up with a beauty only a lover of life would know.

See you at the hut on the top of the hill,

Where the ground actually meet the clouds,

The closest we can be to the castles in the sky,

Engineered by the dreams of the children of tomorrow,

Before it starts to shatter by the death of the ones we love.

See you at the funeral of the one you love,

Though I know it will be filled with the disparities of despairs,

I will be there for you with all of the love I can muster,

To soothe your heart with hugs and assure you’ll be alright,

So that your dreams can continue to fill its purpose in the sky.

See you at the doors of Death’s domain,

Though it’s the last thing either of us want,

It’s an inevitable destination in this journey we call life,

Happy I was with the life I've lead, proud of all that you've created,

I hope you continue to furnish your castle with a beauty only you know.
