To Tell a Tale of Tales to Tell
To Tell a Tale of Tales to Tell
by Putera Muhamad Ashraf
And we spread it
across the sea,
Reaching out to
lunatics filled with rage,
Who turned the
wisdom into a flake,
And caused beadsmen to fiddle with scales,
While bricks slowly
turned into clay,
As the layman lost
themselves to the change;
But not to the
maker, no,
He continues to
bask,
To fill the
world with diamonds and pearl,
Without a care
of wisdom and tale;
A feeling
well-versed with the sage,
Who understands
that wisdom is but a whisper,
Like a song that
enhances emotions,
Like the beast
only a nightingale can tame,
Like a love only
a lover can claim;
Thus the tale
comes to no avail,
For we are
swamped by an ocean of words,
And the tale is
but a petty wave.
