Honesty's Guise
What roads must I take,
To reclaim the beauty I let sail?
What lies must I endure,
To go through this uncertain shade?
Survivor of time, undeterred by its fields of lies
Roses and thorns, though together they grow,
Roses and thorns, though together they grow,
They are forced to part by the horrors of man.
A mask was designed through honesty's guise
An angelic soul it sent, to end the forces of deceit
To tear asunder the dark knight's honour;
A comforting courage to shatter the spear of fear.
Truthfulness boasts, with a promise to
uphold,
Trumping corruption to beg, for a
forgiveness it will never receive,
To what blood they had spilled with their judicial
blade;
Threading innocence’s eyes, with the strings
of honesty’s guise.
Oh darkness and light,
The paradox of life,
The paradox of life,
I now only see...
