Thank You All, For An End Of An Era

I turned my mind into a map, of all these ideas I want to do,

Packed them up, got on a bus driven by passion and imagination, I raged against the dying light, to create a dream worthy of sleeping in;

Thank you all, for showing me worlds I've never seen.

Now I want to ride the train, stare out the window for hours long,

Let my mind wander into the sky until a castle appears,

So I can go on adventures only a child could conjure;

Thank you all, for making me feel younger than I have ever been.

I don't ever want to feel sober again,

The high of loving every minute of living - too exciting,

The empathy to understand eccentric personalities - too thrilling;

Thank you all, for being the colours to my colour blind life.

I may not be able to see colours, but I understand colour theory,

As I try to see through your masks, to see you for who you truly are,

To respect your flaws, admire your strengths, try to love every bit of you;

Thank you all, for tolerating the sentimental idiot that I am.

I cared too much, so much until it nearly ate me alive,

The bar set, was too high to reach, but for those high on life, it was a breeze,

Still we danced, with the perfect synergy of chaotic energy;

Thank you all, you know who you are, because you’re more than work.

Even when the world looks bleak, on the verge of collapse,

The sun and the storm will come together to align the stars.

Yes, it's an end of an era, but it's never the end of the line;

Thank you all, for the memories I will carry till the day I die.
