Bias Blindness

Bias’s Blindness

Truth is denied its move
It is tossed off into the void
Yet, over, and over, and over again,
It tries to make its move and give us its key
To a vault concealed by shrouded clouds,
Eager in wanting us to see
Beyond the theological disparities.

But do we really want to?
Do we really want to remove
This blind preconception
We have padded with animosity?
For the sake of our ego, our pride,
Will we defend our stance
No matter what the lie?

Are we that eager for a sanctuary –
A haven where we can live prosperously?
Filled with certainty
That our reality
Is the minutiae of all realities,
While everything else is just a blur
That falls before our feet.
