Of Death and Love's Affair

Fragility smirks within the caverns of Death,
Where fear threads in playfully,
While timid roams freely, spreading insecurity,
All merrily impeding my advancements.

I hear the echoes of silence,
I see the parades of violence,
I feel the cries of sirens,
Isolating me into the void.

All I want is the freedom of doves,
But I was hit by the brick wall of reason.
All I want is to feel the grace of Love,
But I was deluded by the voices of treason.

I see the eerie grin of Death,
I feel the sadness in her eyes,
As I hear her swaying scythe,
Rummaging through the darkness for us.

My fear for Death was not for me,
It was for Love and my care for her,
To continue seeing her face and study every aspect,
Before the world around us explode in a cosmic eruption.

I hear the cascading laughter,
I see the poignant reflectors,
I feel the imposing darkness,
Surrounding me like I’m a deserter.

All I want is to catch my breath,
But fright wants me to drown in doubt.
All I want is to feel Love’s hands in mine,
But Death is forced to lurk amidst our shadow.

If you choose to stay,
I’ll make Death wait...
And by the fall of grace,
I’ll make her understand!

The steep steps Reality has placed before me,
I will overcome with tenacious ferocity;
I just want to hold you close one last time,
Repeatedly, till forever comes to pass.
