The Thought of Amnesia
On my way back,
From the isle of Wilde,
I came across a thought,
A scenario I played in my head:
I went through amnesia,
Surrounded by family and friends alike...
I could not have any recollection at all,
Of who I was, nor who anyone else was...
No matter who came before me;
All my closest friends and family came together,
But not one was able to get me to remember....
Only until the mere mention of my mum,
That I began to recollect my memories,
All in all, it came to place,
Like a jigsaw coming in to completion.
But then I was told she was no longer around...
I could not accept it.
I did not want to acknowledge it.
So I cried,
Till there was no tear left to drop...
And I just kept pleading,
Bring her back,
Bring her back,
Bring her back,
Just bring her back,
She's my mum,
Bring her back!
So I kept pleading...
Bring her back,
Bring her back,
There's no one else I can call mother...
She meant so much to me...
Please, oh please
Just bring her back...
But everyone shuddered at the thought,
Closed their mouths,
Tears in their eyes,
Unable to bring themselves,
To tell me the cold hard truth...
She was no longer around,
No longer able to comfort me,
No longer able to tell me,
That everything will be all right...
This time,
She's really not coming back...
