Mother's Love

Out comes the weekend,
An escape from the sophisticated reality,
With the one who gave me birth;
Brushing off any discrimination,
From those who pass us by,
By bonding in sheer bliss.
Beautiful moments were shared, but alas!
Stumbled we were upon a twist of fate.

A sore for the sight to see,
There roamed a child, wandering gleefully,
Only till the worried mother found her,
Did society's abyssal darkness came forth.
Unable to bear witness the pain,
The continuous slapping on the head,
Was too much for any child to yield,
As my sore sight started to tear.

Then came along a hand,
So comforting and warm,
Rubbing at the top of my head;
The warmth passed along,
Was enough to stop the tears from flowing.
As she pulled me to her side,
My arms reached out grasping her tight,
Realising the reality of my mother's love.
