The Reality of Love
The story below is about two different women who treated animals in two different ways. The work of literature below tells the story of two different mothers who treat their children differently. It may hit you like a thunderbolt; so please give it some thought. See the reality of the situation.
A prostitute and a dog
One day, Prophet Muhammed ( sal-lal-lahu alai hi wa sallam) told his companions (Sahabah) the story of two women: "One woman, a prostitute, was guided by Allah's truth and ultimately went to paradise because she gave water to a dog dying of thirst in the desert. While a dog was going round a well and was about to die of thirst, the prostitute saw it and took off her shoe and watered it. So Allah ((Subhana wa taaala)) forgave her because of that good deed."
As for the other woman, Prophet Muhammed ( sal-lal-lahu alai hi wa sallam) said, "Another woman was tortured and was put in Hell because of a cat which she had kept locked till it died of hunger." Prophet Muhammed ( sal-lal-lahu alai hi wa sallam) further said, "You neither fed it nor watered when you locked it up, nor did you set it free to eat the insects of the earth."
Love from a kind of mother
Out comes the weekend,
An escape from the sophisticated reality,
With the one who gave me birth;
Brushing off any discrimination,
From those who pass us by,
By bonding with sheer bliss.
Beautiful moments were shared, but alas!
Stumbled we were upon a twist of fate.
A sore for the sight to see,
There laid a child wandering gleefully,
Only till the worried mother found her,
Did society's abyssal darkness came forth;
Unable to bear witness the pain,
The continuos slapping on the head
Was too much for any child to yield
As my sore sight starts to flow.
Then came along a hand,
So comforting and warm,
Rubbing at the top of my head;
The warmth passed along,
Was enough to stop the tears from flowing.
As she pulled me to her side,
My arms reached out grasping her tight,
Realising the reality of my mother's love.
