Love for thy self; thus country
Accuse me of being bold and excuse him for doing what is told,
Like simple men trying to make amends,
Stop grumbling about the past for a future is about to unfold;
Adjust the tunes and the chords where no voice could make a sound,
Speak up, stand up and grab it by the hand,
Opportunities will come through the heat and the cold;
How fast or how slow, the tortoise and the hare will never know.
Like simple men trying to make amends,
Unite as we once united, for the better of tomorrow,
And the great diversity that lay;
Motivated by the pain and suffering of our pasts,
We shall overcome the obstacles of our predicaments,
As we look for better philosophies to make way for poetry in a modern day.
Give in to guilt and despair will come,
Soon your pursuit of happiness will become abrupt.
Don't think twice, lightning doesn't strike more than once;
Look for the answer through the reflective glass,
Make life better, get together and smile upon another;
Move by instinct and make a sound, it's time to turn this house into a home.
The kids are fine, biding their time within the tide,
Expanding their minds to the creations they find,
Before the present becomes past and the joy within slowly dies;
For when fortune and fame is bound, not everything that shines is gold.
No hesitation nor delay, don't put the phone on hold;
Put on a show and let the magic within unfold.
Through the whispers of love and the sailing of the white dove,
With the song it strummed through the beating of the drum,
The nightingale with it's melody so plain, here to mesmerize,
“Do not be afraid of the bringer of change.” said he.
“Although they come and go, friends will always be there to care,
Or lonesome will tear in as the rain starts pouring in.”
Where are we in this simple twist of fate,
Crying aloud and running away into the world behind eden's gate?
It is time to fit the jigsaws into place, for fate is what we make of it.
Our cultural diversity has been our symbol of peace,
Without one another, we'd be lost within this dampen sleep;
So keep your hands busy, as we build for better Malaysian days.
